A LiPo is not one battery, it is two or three cells in series, and they do not discharge evenly. Charging through the main lead alone lets them drift apart until one cell is doing more work than the others — which is how packs puff. A balance charger connects to the thin JST-XH lead and brings every cell up to the same voltage.
This one is deliberately simple. Plug the mains in, plug the pack’s balance lead into the matching socket, and three LEDs on the top tell you what each cell is doing. There is no menu to navigate and nothing to set wrong, which is the point for anyone who just wants the battery charged safely rather than a hobby in itself.
It covers 2S and 3S, which is 7.4v and 11.1v — the two sizes almost every airsoft LiPo comes in. It is not a 4S charger and it will not do NiMH.

Good to know before you buy
It will not charge NiMH. This is a lithium charger. If you run nickel packs as well you need a second charger, or a dual-chemistry unit — the rest are in our chargers section.
2S and 3S only. That covers 7.4v and 11.1v, which is almost everything in airsoft. A 4S pack needs a bigger charger, so check the cell count on your battery before you order.
It arrives with an EU plug and a UK adapter. Nuprol supply both, so it works out of the box here, but it is worth knowing rather than discovering at the kitchen table.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a balance charger at all?
Because a LiPo has multiple cells and they drift. Balancing brings them level on every charge, which both keeps the pack healthy and avoids the overcharged single cell that causes failures.
Can I leave it charging overnight?
No. Nothing lithium should charge unattended, whatever the charger. Charge it where you can see it, in a fire-safe bag, and unplug when the LEDs say it is done.
How long does a pack take?
At 0.9A per cell, a typical 1100 to 1500mAh pack is well under two hours from a sensible state of charge. A deeply flat pack takes longer and is worth watching more closely.
Will it do a 4S pack?
No. It is specified for 2S and 3S. Tell us what you are running and we will point you at something that covers it.
