Launchers

Airsoft launchers fire a 40mm gas shell that releases 100+ BBs in a single trigger pull. Area-effect saturation that nothing else on the field can match.

A 40mm airsoft launcher fires a reusable shell — a brass or aluminium casing you load with green gas and BBs in advance. Pull the trigger, the shell vents its gas through a manifold, and 100+ BBs leave the barrel in a spreading cone. At three to five metres you are saturating a room; at ten to fifteen you are laying down area suppression. Reload the shell, repeat. It is the closest airsoft gets to indirect fire.

Everything here is a stand-alone launcher — a dedicated platform carried as a secondary rather than bolted under a rifle. That covers compact pistol-style single-shot launchers, break-action and double-barrel designs, and revolver-pattern multi-shot launchers modelled on the Milkor MGL. Stand-alone units are heavier than a rail-mounted underbarrel but far more reliable, and they do not tie up the handguard of your primary.

What else you need

Most launchers do not come with shells, so budget for them separately — you will typically want three to five to be useful across a game. Our 40mm shower shells come in 120-round and 168-round capacities, and shells need green gas from the gas collection to fire. Loading a shell by hand is slow, which is why dedicated loaders like the Acetech AceHive X exist. A couple of our launchers do include shells in the box — check the individual listing before you order extras.

Before you buy

UK sites vary in their rules on launchers. Some require every shell to be chronoed, some restrict launcher use to particular players or scenarios, and a few do not allow them at all. Always check your site's rules first — if you play at Skirmish Wycombe Airsoft, just ask us. Launchers are realistic imitation firearms, so UKARA registration or another valid defence applies and we verify at checkout. For the pyro route to area effect instead, see Pyrotechnics.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: pre-loaded shells live in dedicated pouches on your rig — a standard 40mm pouch holds two or three on a battle belt or chest rig. See pouches for the right carry solution, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll spec a launcher setup with you.
