Gas guns are honest but temperamental. Performance drifts with the weather, a cold magazine behaves nothing like a warm one, and the running cost of green gas adds up faster than anyone admits. Putting the gun on HPA takes gas out of the equation — pressure comes from a regulator you set, and it is the same on a February morning as it is in August.
The adapter is what makes that possible, and it comes in more than one shape. Some are baseplate adapters: they replace the gas fill plate on the bottom of a standard magazine, so you keep the magazines you already own and the air simply arrives through the plate instead of from a can. Others replace the magazine outright. And on a GBBR the adapter slots into the magwell, with the rifle feeding from an AEG or M4 magazine from that point on.
Which of those you are buying is stated on each adapter's own product page, and it is worth reading before you order — it decides what you feed the gun with, and whether the magazines in your bag are still the right ones.
Either way, the gun ends up cycling on regulated air at a pressure you choose, rather than on whatever the can happened to give you that day. Everything else in this bundle exists to get clean, consistent air to that adapter.

Worth settling before you order
Exactly which gun?
Not the family, the model. Hi-Capa adapters are not all the same, and GBBR fitment varies by platform. Tell us what you have and we will confirm the adapter before it ships.
Which magazines will you be feeding it with?
Only a baseplate adapter leaves you using the magazines you already have. A full magazine replacement, and the GBBR magwell type, both run AEG or M4 magazines instead — so work out how many you need before the first game rather than after it. The adapter's product page tells you which sort it is.
Does your site allow HPA sidearms?
Check this first. Plenty of UK sites are happy with HPA rifles and stricter about pistols, particularly on limits and on lines trailing from a holster. A phone call now saves a wasted build.
How are you carrying the tank?
On a pistol it is usually a belt or a small back-mounted bottle rather than a plate carrier, and that changes the line length you want.
Questions we get asked
Why is there no battery in this bundle?
There is nothing electrical to power. Every style of adapter here is purely mechanical — they route air, and the gun's own action does the rest. That is the difference from an HPA rifle engine, which has a solenoid and a control board that need feeding.
Will it still blow back?
Yes. The gun cycles as it always did. You are changing where the pressure comes from, not how the action works.
Do I keep using my gas magazines?
Only with a baseplate adapter, which takes the place of the fill plate on the bottom of a magazine you already own and lets it carry on feeding normally. If the adapter replaces the magazine, or slots into a GBBR magwell, then no — those feed from AEG or M4 magazines. Check the product page for the one you are buying.
Is this reversible?
Yes. Nothing here is permanent. Take the adapter out and the gun goes back to gas.
Can you set it up and chrono it?
Yes. Our HPA tech service will fit it, set the regulator to your site limit and put it over the chrono, on the bench at Skirmish Wycombe Airsoft.
