HPA Starter Bundle
Tank, regulator, line and battery — the half of an HPA build that decides whether the gun works on a Sunday.
An HPA rifle is two halves. There is the engine in the gearbox, and there is the air system that feeds it. The engine is the part people research for weeks. The air system is the part that decides whether the gun actually works on a Sunday, and it is where most first builds go wrong.
That is what this bundle is for. Every component has to agree with the ones either side of it — thread standards, output pressure, fitting type and line length. Bought one listing at a time, a mismatch is easy. Bought as a set, the choices sit in one place and we can tell you before you order if a combination will not work.
What you are choosing
| Component | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Air tank | How long you go between fills. Capacity is shots, not power — a bigger bottle does not make the gun hit harder, it just means fewer trips to the compressor. |
| Regulator | Output pressure, and therefore velocity and consistency. This is the part you actually tune with, and the part a chrono reading always comes back to. |
| Braided line | How the gun handles with a hose attached. Length and fitting have to suit your build and the way you carry the tank. |
| 7.4V LiPo battery | Power for the solenoid and the control board. It is not driving a motor, so capacity matters far less than the pack's ability to deliver short bursts of current. |
| Accessories | Optional. Tank thread protectors and spare magazines — the things you would otherwise order separately a week later. |
Worth settling before you order
Which engine are you running, or planning to run?
The engine sets the fitting on the gun end of the line and the voltage the board expects. Tell us and we will match the bundle to it.
Where is the tank going to live?
A plate carrier, a dump pouch and a stock-mounted bottle all want different line lengths. Guessing this is the most common reason a line comes back.
What does your site allow?
HPA is welcome at most UK sites, but limits and chrono procedure vary. Check before you build, not on the morning.
Questions we get asked
Is this everything I need to run HPA?
It is the complete air side. You will also need an HPA engine in the gun itself, and a way to fill the tank — a dive shop, a compressor, or the fill station here at the site.
Do I have to take the accessories?
No. Thread protectors and spare magazines are there because most people want them eventually, not because the system needs them. Skip that step and the bundle still works.
I have never touched HPA before. Is this the right starting point?
Yes, and read the beginner's guide first. It covers what the system does and what it costs to run, which is the part nobody explains properly.
Can you fit it for me?
Yes. Our HPA tech service covers installation, tuning and chrono setup, on the bench at Skirmish Wycombe Airsoft.
What if I pick the wrong combination?
Ask before you order and we will check it. We would rather spend five minutes on a message than have you take a gun to a game that does not run.
