Soft Cases

The everyday transport option. Lighter, cheaper, and more discreet than hard cases — the right answer for regular car-to-site travel where crush protection isn't critical.

Soft cases are the everyday workhorse of airsoft transport. Padded nylon or canvas exterior, internal foam padding, single or double rifle compartments, plus external pouches for magazines and accessories. They don't protect against crushing or heavy impact — but for the typical scenario of carrying a rifle from home to car to site and back again, that's not what you need. What you need is something light, weatherproof, easy to carry, and discreet enough not to advertise rifle contents on a residential street.

Three soft case styles cover most needs. Single rifle bags are the basic option — one rifle, two or three external mag pouches, a shoulder strap. Cheapest and lightest, ideal for skirmish-and-home use. Double rifle bags carry two rifles plus a pistol — the standard for milsim players or anyone running multiple primaries. Often include internal dividers to prevent rifles knocking together. Discreet carry bags are designed not to look like rifle bags — tennis-racket-shaped, guitar-case-shaped, or generic black holdall format. For walking through urban areas where a tactical rifle bag attracts attention you don't want, these are the appropriate choice.

Sizing and features to check. Internal length must exceed the rifle's overall length — a 14.5" carbine with full extended stock is typically 90-100cm; check before buying. External pouches for magazines, batteries, eye pro, and accessories make the bag a one-piece game-day kit rather than a rifle plus separate bag. Material durability matters more than you'd think — cheap 600D nylon wears at stress points after a year of weekly use; 1000D nylon lasts five years. For when crush protection IS needed, see hard cases. For pouches that attach to MOLLE-equipped soft cases, see the dedicated collection.

💡 Titan Forge tip: If you ever need to carry your rifle on public transport, a discreet carry bag is non-negotiable. UK law requires RIFs to be transported in a non-visible manner — a tactical-looking rifle bag on a train or bus draws attention even when technically compliant. A guitar-case or tennis-bag shaped soft case avoids the social problem entirely.
