Silent Dry PIONEER Dehumidifier Stone - 20L Cases

A sealed hard case is excellent at keeping water out and equally good at keeping moisture in. Put a rifle away slightly damp after a wet game day and the case becomes a small humid box that your gun sits in until next weekend. Steel parts spot, springs corrode, and optics can fog internally.

The PIONEER is a silica stone that absorbs that moisture. Tested to hold a case below 60% relative humidity, it takes up 33g of water in a 20-litre space, and a colour-changing indicator tells you at a glance when it is saturated rather than leaving you guessing.

When it is full you recharge it in a microwave or oven and use it again. Silent Dry rate it for at least a hundred renewal cycles, which is years of service from a single stone — and makes it far less wasteful than disposable silica sachets.

At 11 × 6.5 × 2cm it tucks into a rifle case, a pistol case, an ammo box or a gun safe without stealing usable space. The stone is encased in TPV so it will not shed anything onto your kit.

Good to know before you buy

It arrives damp and needs heating before first use to activate it — follow the instructions before putting it in a case. One stone covers a 20-litre space, so a large rifle case may benefit from two.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need charging or batteries?
No. It works passively. When the indicator shows it is saturated you dry it out in a microwave or oven and it is ready again.

How long does it last?
The stone itself is rated for at least a hundred renewal cycles, so with normal use it should last years rather than months.

Will one be enough for my case?
It is rated for a 20-litre space. A small or medium case is well covered; a large or X-large rifle case may want two.

Is it safe next to my gear?
The silica is sealed inside a TPV casing so nothing loose contacts your equipment, and it carries EU REACH, SGS, US Prop 65 and FDA certification.
