Keys get lost, usually the weekend you need them. This lock uses a three-digit combination you set yourself, so the only thing you have to remember is a number — and you can change it whenever you like.
It is sized for rifle-length kit: gun slips, rifle bags, and large or extra-large soft cases, as well as hard cases with suitable eyelets. Locking the bag restricts casual access to your replicas in transit and in storage, which is simply good practice when what is inside looks like a firearm.
