Acetech Volcano 40mm Grenade Launcher (Tracer)

The Acetech Volcano is a clever twist on the 40mm launcher. It fires standard 40mm MOSCART shower-grenade shells like any launcher, sending out a spread of BBs, but it also has a built-in tracer unit and a flame-simulation muzzle effect, so under low light the BBs glow and the muzzle appears to erupt with fire.

There are three operating modes — tracer with flame, flame only, and tracer only — plus a choice of flame colours and effects, all driven by Acetech's tracer technology. It turns a grenade launcher into a genuine spectacle for night games and milsim, while still doing the job of launching a BB payload.

The launcher itself takes the usual gas-powered 40mm grenade shells (sold separately), so each shell is charged with green gas and loaded with BBs in the normal way. The tracer and flame electronics are rechargeable, so there's no fuss once it's set up.

It mounts via Picatinny rails or runs as a standalone, and it's an easy way to add area effect and serious visual impact to a loadout. Few launchers look anything like as good downrange after dark.

What's on the outside

It uses standard 40mm gas grenade shells and carries the tracer/flame unit at the muzzle, with multiple colour and effect modes. The body has accessory rails for mounting.
