The high-rate one, on a Deans plug. 30C and 43.5 amps of continuous draw in a Crane TPL pack, terminated in Deans rather than Tamiya. Nuprol’s answer for a build that actually pulls current.

C rating is the spec most people skim and then wish they had not. It is the multiple of capacity a pack can deliver continuously, so 30C on 1450mAh is 43.5 amps — roughly double what Nuprol’s 20C sticks manage. That headroom is what keeps voltage from sagging when a heavy spring and a high-torque motor ask for everything at once.

In practice you feel it on the first shot rather than the hundredth. A pack working near its limit drops voltage under load, and a motor seeing less voltage spins up more slowly, which is exactly the lag people try to fix with a new motor. Sometimes the battery was the problem.

Nuprol list the shape as Crane TPL and fit a Deans connector as standard, which is the plug most upgraded guns are rewired to because it carries current with far less resistance than Tamiya. At 86 grams it is also the lightest 3S pack in this group.

Good to know before you buy

Deans is the point, not an inconvenience. A Tamiya plug is a measurable restriction on a gun drawing serious current. If your gun is still on Tamiya, this pack is an argument for rewiring it rather than for buying an adapter.

A high C rating does not raise your gearbox limits. It stops the battery being the weak link; it does not make a stock piston or stock contacts cope with more. If you are pushing a build this hard, a MOSFET belongs on the list too — see our MOSFETs.

Check the shape against your stock. Nuprol describe the configuration as Crane TPL. Measure the compartment rather than assuming it matches another crane pack you have owned, because the layouts differ between makers.

Frequently asked questions

What does 30C actually give me?
43.5 amps of continuous draw instead of the 22 to 24 you get from a 20C pack of this size. It matters on a heavy spring or a high-speed setup, and makes very little difference to a stock gun.

Do I need to rewire to Deans?
To use this as supplied, yes, or fit an adapter lead. We would suggest rewiring if the gun is drawing enough current to justify a 30C pack in the first place.

How is this different from the 2200mAh pack?
This one prioritises current, that one prioritises runtime. This is 30C at 1450mAh; the 2200mAh pack is 15C and holds more energy but delivers less of it at once.

Will a 30C pack damage my gun?
No. A battery supplies what the gun asks for rather than forcing current into it. The risk on an unmodified gearbox comes from voltage, and that is unchanged at 11.1v.

⚠ Higher current makes the wiring the next weak point. If you are running a pack like this, look at your trigger contacts and your wiring gauge. The pack will happily deliver more than a tired contact set can carry.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Log what your gun actually draws before buying for C rating. A cheap inline meter will tell you in one magazine whether you need 43 amps or whether 22 was always plenty, and it settles the question for every future pack. Control gear is in our MOSFET section.
