The stock MTW hop unit works, but it is moulded polymer, and polymer flexes. Under the pressure of repeated cycling it gradually loses the precise relationship between nozzle, bucking and barrel that decides whether your BBs group.
This is Wolverine's own CNC-machined replacement. Being cut rather than moulded, it holds tighter tolerances and keeps its adjustment where you set it, which is the difference between a hop that stays dialled across a game day and one that drifts.
It is the sensible first upgrade on an MTW if you have already sorted your bucking and barrel, and being the manufacturer's own part it fits without the compatibility questions an aftermarket chamber can raise.

Good to know before you buy
Fitting means stripping the front end and re-seating the barrel and bucking, and you should expect to re-tune the hop from scratch afterwards. If you want the fullest-featured option, the Maxx M4W chamber adds anti-wobble systems and a built-in tracer - this is the straightforward manufacturer part.
Frequently asked questions
How does it compare to the Maxx M4W?
The Maxx adds three anti-wobble systems, R-hop compatible nubs and a built-in UV tracer. This is Wolverine's own machined chamber - simpler, and guaranteed to fit the platform it was made for.
Will it improve my accuracy on its own?
It removes flex and drift, which makes your grouping more repeatable. Outright range still comes from the bucking, barrel and BB weight.
Does it fit all MTW models?
It is made for the MTW platform. Send us your specific model if you are unsure - MTW-308 and MTW-9 differ from the M4 variants.
Can you fit it?
Yes, through the tech service, and we chronograph afterwards.
