Ammo Pouches

The pouches that hold your spare magazines. Open-top for fast draws, closed-flap for retention, kydex for the speedsoft draw — pick the design to match how you reload.

Magazine pouches are the most-used MOLLE pouch type on any airsoft loadout. They hold spare magazines accessible for fast reloads during a firefight. Three design variables determine the right pouch for your role: retention mechanism (open-top vs closed-flap vs bungee), capacity (single, double, triple mags per pouch), and rigidity (soft nylon vs kydex shell).

Retention designs matter most. Open-top pouches (no flap, no closure) are the speedsoft and competition standard — fastest possible draw, but magazines can fall out if you're moving aggressively or going prone. Closed-flap pouches have a velcro or buckle flap over the top — secure during running and crawling but ~0.5 seconds slower to draw from. Bungee-retention pouches are the compromise — elastic cord over the magazine top, retention without a full flap, mid-speed draw. Kydex MOLLE pouches (Esstac KYWI-pattern) are rigid open-top pouches that grip the magazine via internal kydex tension — fast draw with excellent retention even at full speed, the modern milsim standard.

Capacity considerations. Single mag pouches carry one magazine each — most flexible for placement, lets you spread mags across multiple body locations. Double mag pouches carry two magazines side-by-side in one pouch — saves MOLLE real estate, common for plate carrier front panels. Triple mag pouches are less common — usually only used for milsim where chest panel space is limited. Platform-specific sizing: M4 mag pouches are wider than AK pouches; pistol mag pouches are smaller still. Check the listing for the platform fit. For the magazines themselves, see the dedicated collection.

💡 Titan Forge tip: Carry one more magazine pouch than you think you need. Most players run 4 mid-cap magazines on their rig and end up wanting a 5th by the end of a milsim day. The 5th mag pouch costs £10 and the spare magazine slots in next time — but the empty pouch you didn't buy means you've already capped your reload supply forever.
