A flap lid is the difference between finding your spare magazines and finding out they left somewhere behind you. Open-top pouches are faster, and that speed costs you every time you go prone, crawl under something or take a hard knock. If you carry two spares and would rather still have them at the end of the game, a closed pouch is the right answer.
It is sized for two M4 or M16 pattern magazines side by side, which covers the mid-caps and hi-caps most AEGs run. The PMC line is Nuprol’s workhorse nylon range rather than their premium one, and it is built accordingly: heavier material than the price suggests, and nothing clever to go wrong.
Green rather than black is worth a thought if you play woodland. Black reads as a hard dark rectangle against foliage at any distance, which is exactly the shape a pair of eyes picks out first, and a green pouch simply does not.

Good to know before you buy
Check how it mounts before you commit a rig layout. Nuprol do not publish the attachment method for the flap lid version, so if you are planning a specific MOLLE position, ask us first and we will look at the stock. The open top version of the same pouch is explicitly MOLLE.
A lid costs you about a second. That is a fair trade for not losing magazines, and a bad one if you are running a speed loadout. Plenty of people carry one open pouch for the first reload and closed ones for the rest — both are in our ammo pouches section.
Measure a hi-cap before you buy two. M4 pattern covers a wide range of lengths, and a 350 round hi-cap stands taller than a mid-cap. The lid still closes on most of them, but it is worth a look if yours is unusually long.
Frequently asked questions
How many magazines does it hold?
Two M4 or M16 pattern magazines, side by side. It is sized as a double rather than a stack.
Will a pistol magazine fit?
Physically yes, loosely, and it is the wrong tool for it. A pistol magazine in a rifle pouch rattles and is slow to find, so use a dedicated pouch instead.
Does it come with the attachment straps?
It is supplied as a complete pouch ready to go on a rig. If the mounting on your rig is unusual, send us a photo and we will check it for you.
Is there a black one?
Nuprol produce the PMC line in several colours and we do not carry every finish of every pouch at once. Ask us what is available and we will tell you what we can get.
