The GATE PULSAR S is the engine that brought GATE's optical trigger technology to HPA airsoft for the first time. Where conventional HPA engines use a mechanical FCU or a basic electronic board for dwell and RPS adjustment, the PULSAR S drops a TITAN II Bluetooth optical trigger unit directly into the HPA engine — the first time this had been done anywhere in the world.
The practical benefits are significant. A 50-sensitivity-level optical trigger means you can dial in a hair-trigger that responds to fractions of a millimetre of movement — or set it deliberately long for milsim authenticity. Binary trigger fires on both press and release for maximum output. Burst modes from 2–9 rounds. Full RPS adjustment. All of it configurable wirelessly via the GCS app from your phone or smartwatch, without opening the gun. The PULSAR S runs at 60–140psi (high pressure only, not compatible with standard SLP macro line setups). The world's smallest single-solenoid HPA engine at 75g.
What makes the PULSAR different from other HPA engines
Most HPA engines on the market are based on a simple pneumatic valve — consistent and reliable, but with no electronic integration beyond a basic FCU for dwell and RPS. The PULSAR S changes the equation by pairing Wolverine-style single solenoid HPA operation with GATE's optical trigger technology — the same 50-level sub-millimetre trigger sensitivity, the same Bluetooth GCS app control, and the same fire mode configurability (semi, binary, burst, full-auto) that TITAN II brings to AEGs.
The result is the most electronically configurable single-solenoid HPA engine available. Set your RPS wirelessly from the field. Monitor live telemetry via smartwatch. Configure binary trigger for maximum cyclic rate. No other engine in this category offers this level of integration.
All GATE ETUs are configured via the GATE Control Station (GCS) app — free on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Wear OS, and watchOS. Connect wirelessly via Blu-Link Bluetooth dongle or via USB-Link for wired configuration. The GCS app allows real-time adjustment of all settings, firmware updates, diagnostics, and live telemetry including BB counter, magazine counter, and battery status.
Rear Wired vs Front Wired
| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Rear Wired | Cable exits the rear of the gearbox — suits most standard AEG builds |
| Front Wired | Cable exits the front of the gearbox — suits builds with stock battery or rear-loaded electronics |
