PTW magazines do not share the feed geometry of a standard AEG mid-cap, so they will not sit properly on the loader's output tube on their own. This adaptor gives them a dedicated, square-fitting dock.
The fit is the whole point. A magazine that rocks or sits at an angle loads slowly and unevenly; one that is held solid loads at full speed with no fuss. Given what PTW magazines cost, a secure dock is also simply better for the magazine.
It loads and unloads in both directions, and like the rest of the range it fits every Vanguard electric loader.

Good to know before you buy
Adaptor only - a Vanguard electric speedloader is required. If you also run gas or high-cap magazines, the four-adaptor bundle is the cheaper route to all four.
