The HPA line looks like a simple rubber hose. It isn't. The bore diameter, wall construction, fitting quality, and sheathing durability all determine whether your air system delivers consistent pressure from shot to shot or introduces resistance and inconsistency into your setup. Amped Airsoft designed their line range specifically for airsoft HPA when the only alternatives were paintball-surplus macro lines not suited to the high-demand, high-cycle-rate airflow that GBB and engine-driven HPA setups require.
The Standard Weave 36" line uses a wide-bore inner tube that allows greater air passage than traditional 6mm macro line. The difference is most apparent in high-demand applications: Daytona-style GBB platforms, HPA-tapped gas blowback rifles, and high-RPS engine setups all benefit from the improved refresh rate that a wide-bore line provides. Standard macro line can starve these systems of air between shots at high rates of fire — the widebore design prevents this. For typical HPA engine setups like the Wolverine INFERNO or PolarStar, you'll also notice the benefit during sustained full-auto bursts.
High-strength nylon sheathing protects the inner line from abrasion and wear during active use. The line inevitably gets stepped on, caught on kit, and dragged across terrain — the sheathing is what determines whether it survives a season or needs replacing every few months. Dual Foster quick-disconnect fittings on both ends are compatible with virtually all mainstream HPA regulators and engines: Wolverine, Redline, PolarStar, GATE Pulsar, and more. Hand-made and individually quality-control tested in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Backed by Amped's lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
The 36" length is the standard field choice for most builds — long enough to route comfortably from a back-mounted tank carrier to the gun, short enough to avoid excess slack that can snag. The colour spiral pattern is carried in the sheathing and serves as a length identifier (different lengths use different colour combinations). Multiple colour variants are available to match your build aesthetic.
36" vs 42" — which length do you need?
| Length | Best for | Tank carry position |
|---|---|---|
| 36" (this) | Standard builds — enough reach without excess slack | Side-hip, chest rig, most backpack positions |
| 42" | More reach for larger builds or DMR setups | High back-mounted positions, longer hose runs |

Usage Tips
Do not bend the line sharply at either end where it meets the fittings — this is the most common point of failure on any HPA line and can cause air leaks at the crimp. Route the line to avoid tight bends, particularly at the tank regulator end. When disconnecting QD fittings, degas the system first (close the tank valve and fire the gun to bleed line pressure) before pulling the quick disconnect — this prevents wear on the O-ring seal inside the fitting and extends the line's service life. Check the O-rings at both ends periodically; a smear of silicone oil on the O-rings every few months keeps them sealing cleanly. Do not exceed 200psi — standard HPA airsoft setups run well below this (typically 80–140psi at the secondary regulator) but it's important not to run the line on a primary tank regulator without a secondary stage to reduce pressure first.
