Foam baffles are the consumables of any decent airsoft suppressor — they soak up the gas crack, dampen the mechanical snap, and progressively deteriorate with each shot until the suppressor stops suppressing. Replacement baffle kits keep your gun stealthy long after the originals have packed up.
Two sizes available: 29mm fits the original Tokyo Marui MK23 suppressor, and 38mm fits the larger Silverback MK23 suppressor (and various other 38mm-bore mock cans). Both ship as drop-in replacements — strip the suppressor, swap the foam, reassemble in under five minutes.
When to replace your baffles
If your suppressor sounds noticeably louder than it did when new, baffles are the first thing to check. A clean, fresh baffle stack should noticeably reduce the report on a gas pistol — when it stops doing that, the foam has compressed past its useful life. Most skirmishers replace baffles every 3–6 months of regular play, more often if running heavy weight BBs or hot HPA pressure.
