Overcharging is what kills most airsoft batteries, and it happens because someone plugged a pack in and forgot about it. The RBC01 Pro has an automatic cut-off that ends the charge when the pack is full, with an LED that turns green so you can see at a glance rather than guessing.

Its genuinely useful feature is the switchable charge current. Two amps for a normal AEG battery, or a gentler 0.7 amps for the small HPA packs that a full-rate charge would stress. Hold the LiPo button for two seconds to switch between them - two LEDs means 0.7A, three means 2.0A.

It handles LiPo, LiFe and NiMH, so one small unit covers most of what is in an airsoft kit bag, and it is small enough to live in there permanently.

What is the difference between the two current settings?
2.0A charges a normal AEG battery at a sensible rate. 0.7A is for small HPA packs, where a full-rate charge would be unnecessarily harsh. Hold the LiPo button for two seconds to switch - two LEDs for 0.7A, three for 2.0A.

How do I know when it is finished?
The LED turns green and the automatic cut-off ends the charge. You do not need to time it or watch the clock.

Does it balance the cells?
Yes, it charges through the balance lead so each cell is brought up evenly. That is what keeps a multi-cell LiPo healthy over its life.

Can I leave it charging overnight?
No. Never leave any LiPo charging unattended, regardless of the charger. Charge in a safety sack on a non-flammable surface while you are around.

Will it charge my HPA engine battery?
Yes - that is what the 0.7A setting is for. It suits the small micro packs used in HPA engines and control units.
