The MK23 is the definitive stealth sidearm in airsoft — silent on its own, widely used by snipers and DMR players as a close-range backup that doesn't compromise their noise discipline. The AirTac x T1P Shotgun Shell HPA Adapter keeps that philosophy intact: rather than strapping an M4 magazine to the bottom of the pistol and changing its entire profile, this adapter uses 30-round airsoft shotgun shells which are compact, cylindrical, and considerably lower profile than any magazine-fed adapter.
The adapter body is designed to replicate the profile of an MK23 magazine — the result is a setup that looks significantly more natural on the pistol than an M4 or M4-angled adapter, maintains the low-profile holsterability of the MK23 platform, and keeps the pistol suitable for use in sniping/DMR roles where keeping a low visual signature matters.
This is the latest design from the AirTac x T1P collaboration and represents a significant ergonomic and functional improvement over earlier MK23 shotgun shell adapters. Key updates include massively improved magazine catch feel, an ambidextrous shell catch at the rear for quick one-handed shell changes, and two grub screws in the mag catch area that allow fine-tuning of the adapter-to-nozzle distance. Getting this distance right is important for air seal and FPS consistency — the grub screws let you dial in the exact position for your specific pistol's nozzle tolerance.
Three feed tubes of different lengths are included. Shotgun shell manufacturing tolerances vary between brands, and the different feed tube lengths allow you to find the best fit for your shells. CYMA shotgun shells (or Golden Eagle) are strongly recommended for their stronger spring tension, which ensures reliable BB feeding from shell to barrel.
TM MK23 owners: TM feed lips may be required when using this adapter with a genuine Tokyo Marui MK23. Compatible with clone MK23 platforms directly. Novritsch SSX23 and SSX303 are also directly compatible.
