The AirTac MP7 to Shotgun Shell HPA Adapter is the most distinctive of the three MP7 conversions — and the most niche, in the best way. Rather than feeding from a conventional AEG magazine, it runs airsoft shotgun shells: low-capacity, high-realism cartridges that load like real shells and produce an authentic, tactile magazine experience. For milsim players and anyone who values the feel of the shoot as much as the mechanics, this adapter is in a category of its own.
The adapter profiles to match the shape of a standard MP7 magazine, keeping the rifle's compact silhouette intact while the shotshell mechanism sits internally. A built-in BB retention system ensures that every round in the shell is fed — zero BBs are dropped when the shell runs empty. An ambidextrous magazine catch at the rear of the adapter allows fast, intuitive shell changes with either hand, maintaining pace during gameplay without fumbling for a side-specific release. Multiple feed tubes of different lengths are included, allowing tuning for the dimensional tolerances that vary between shell manufacturers — swap the feed tube if your chosen shell isn't feeding consistently.
As with all AirTac adapters, this unit ships fully assembled and pre-tested. The NBR gas router is manufactured to VFC MP7 specification, the high-flow valve is pre-installed, and every unit is cycled in a VFC MP7 platform before leaving the factory. Operating pressure sits at 90–140psi — slightly higher ceiling than the M4 and MP5 variants to accommodate the different flow characteristics of shotshell feeding.
CYMA and Golden Eagle shells are the recommended pairing for their stronger shell springs, which provide the most reliable feeding consistency with this adapter. TM shells are not recommended as their spring tension is lower and feeding reliability is reduced.
