Most people hang a sling off the stock or the handguard. Both work until they do not: a QD socket moulded into a polymer stock is a small amount of plastic carrying the whole weight of the gun, and it is a common breakage.
This plate puts the attachment point on steel instead, at the buffer turret, where the load goes straight into the receiver. It is a tight press fit matched to the turret profile, so it sits flush rather than rattling.
It is stainless underneath the powder coat, which matters on a part that spends its life rubbing against a sling swivel.
Specifications
| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Material | Powder-coated stainless steel |
| Fitment | Press fit, profiled to the receiver’s buffer turret |
| Sling attachment | Integrated QD socket |
| Fits | HYP-AR receivers |
Good to know before you buy
It is a press fit, so it goes on firmly and is not meant to be swapped back and forth.
Fit it while the buffer tube is off or loose. The assembly guide has the plate and castle nut in place on the tube before the tube goes into the turret.
You still need a QD swivel and a sling; the plate is the socket, not the whole setup.
Frequently asked questions
Why not just use the QD point on my stock?
You can. A socket built into a polymer stock or handguard is the part most likely to let go under load, which is the problem this solves.
Will it fit any HYP-AR?
It is made for the HYP-AR buffer turret. Tell us which receiver you have if you want it checked before you order.
Does a swivel come with it?
No. The plate carries the QD socket; the swivel and sling are separate.
Can I take it off again?
It is a tight press fit, so treat it as a one-way job rather than something to change between games.
