Reloads under pressure are a geometry problem. The magazine well on a bare lower is almost exactly magazine-sized, so a slightly off-angle insertion stops dead. A funnel gives your hand a margin of error.
This one adds the margin without adding much bulk — it sits close to the receiver rather than flaring out.
Low profile is the version to pick if you run a sling tight or carry the gun across your body, because there is less to catch on. It still gives you a usefully bigger target than the bare magazine well.

Good to know before you buy
Pick the cut, not the gun. The three options match the three HYP receiver profiles and are not swappable between them.
Each one is checked on a receiver before packing, so light witness marks on the inside rails are normal rather than damage.
A funnel changes how quickly a magazine seats. Feeding, pressure and muzzle energy are unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Which option do I need?
Match it to your receiver: HYP-9, HYP-556 Style 1 or HYP-556 Style 2.
How is this different from the HRF version?
This one keeps a slim profile. The HRF magwell flares out much further for a bigger funnel.
Will it work on a standard MWS lower?
It is specified for HYP receiver cuts. The manufacturer does not publish fitment for a stock MWS lower, so ask us before you order if that is what you have.
Does it need any modification to fit?
No. It is made for the receiver profile and each one is checked on a receiver before packing.
