Airtac MWS Trigger Box Kit — the complete trigger group a bare HYP-AR lower needs before it will cycle. Ambidextrous box, ZET plate, fire selector and bolt stop, with the springs and pins to hold it all in.

A HYP-AR lower arrives without a trigger group, so you either move one across from the donor gun or start with this kit. It is manufactured by Double Eagle and cut to drop into Tokyo Marui and Double Eagle HYP-AR receivers, as well as a standard MWS lower.

Buying the kit rather than robbing the donor is worth it if you want the donor gun to stay whole, or if the box in it is one of the older units with a stripped retaining screw. The HYP-AR holds its trigger box on the pin alone, so a chewed screw thread stops being your problem either way.

It is an ambidextrous box, so the fire selector works from both sides. That matters more on an air-fed gun than a gas one, because you are usually running a line over one shoulder and may not want to break your grip to change the selector.

Good to know before you buy

This is the trigger group only. It does not include a receiver, and it will not turn an MWS into an air-fed gun on its own.

If you are fitting it to a Double Eagle cut receiver, the assembly guide calls for shims under the box unless it is a Ghetto Blaster or another ambidextrous Double Eagle unit, in which case the supplied pin goes into the box instead.

The screw at the rear of a donor trigger box has to come out completely, or the receiver will not close.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need this if I already have an MWS?
Not necessarily. You can move the trigger box, bolt release and fire selector out of your donor gun. Buy the kit if you want to keep the donor gun working.

Will it fit both receiver cuts?
Yes. It is specified for Tokyo Marui and Double Eagle cut HYP-ARs and for MWS lowers.

Can you fit it to a receiver for me?
Yes — send both to our tech service and we will assemble and test the lower.

Does it come with a bolt release?
The kit lists a bolt stop, ZET plate, fire selector and the fixings. Tell us what your build is missing and we will check the parts list against it.
