Archwick AWS Type A MWS Gas Magazine — 36 Round

The Type A is Archwick's own magazine for their AWS (Archwick Weapon System) rifles, built to the Tokyo Marui MWS pattern so it also serves MWS owners. It is the magazine the Archwick Colt Canada L119A2 now ships with.

Gas capacity is the headline. The Type A holds 14g, around 17% more than the original Marui MWS magazine. Archwick report that in testing with an original Tokyo Marui MWS it gave full bolt lock after 36 rounds on full auto or 72 rounds on semi from one full fill, and ran on both HFC-134A and green gas between 5°C and 38°C.

Reliability comes from the internals. A re-engineered output valve is designed to stop the sticking and jamming that high-mileage OEM magazines develop, and an integrated air-seal barrier keeps pressure steadier through the cycle. An M5×135 structural screw runs through the body to stop pin holes elongating and the shell deforming under heavy use.

The body is aluminium alloy, chosen for thermal conductivity so the magazine recovers from cooldown faster. At roughly 420g it is around 8% lighter than the original MWS magazine.
