The real L119A2 is the Colt Canada SFIW (Special Forces Individual Weapon) carried by British special forces — a carbine defined by its one-piece monolithic upper, CTR stock, Ergo grip and fully ambidextrous controls. Archwick's replica is licensed by Colt Canada through Cybergun and EMG, so the markings are correct rather than approximated.
The 2026 version is the one to buy. Archwick have fitted a full set of their AWS Type A system components over the Tokyo Marui MWS internals, aimed at better performance and more consistency from one rifle to the next. It also now ships with Archwick's new 36-round STANAG-style MWS magazine in place of the earlier third-party magazine.
The receiver set is where the money goes. The monolithic upper is 5-axis CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium and the lower from 7075-T6 billet. The outer barrel, muzzle device, charging handle hinge, selector, bolt release and magazine release are all CNC steel, and the buffer tube is a single CNC aluminium piece. Inside, a 270mm 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel runs a 60° Unicorn bucking.
Because the internals are MWS-pattern, the rifle takes Tokyo Marui MWS magazines and MWS-compatible magazines, and the wider MWS upgrade market is open to it. A CNC steel barrel removal tool and a mini tool kit come in the box.

Good to know
This is a gas blowback rifle, so the bolt cycles on every shot and gas use rises with rate of fire. Warm magazines perform best; in cold British weather, carry spares in a pocket and rotate them. Spare magazines are the first accessory worth budgeting for.
