BLS is a dedicated precision BB manufacturer. Unlike general airsoft distributors who produce BBs as a secondary product, BLS's entire focus is on dimensional accuracy and surface consistency. Every BLS BB is produced to tighter diameter tolerances than most general skirmish BBs — a measurable difference that matters most in GBB pistols, precision AEGs, and high-power sniper platforms where BB inconsistency is a leading cause of accuracy variation.
BLS colour coding — what the BB colour means
BLS uses BB colour to signal the intended use case — not purely for aesthetics. Understanding the colour system makes selecting the right product straightforward:
| Colour | Weights available | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| White | Standard-to-mid weights: 0.20g, 0.23g, 0.25g, 0.28g, 0.30g, 0.32g | General skirmish and upgraded AEG use |
| Ivory | Mid-heavy to very heavy: 0.20g (coloured variant), 0.36g, 0.40g, 0.43g, 0.45g, 0.48g | Precision builds, DMR, sniper platforms |
| Gray | Very heavy specialist weights: 0.38g, 0.40g, 0.42g, 0.43g, 0.46g, 0.48g, 0.50g | Highest-power sniper platforms, specialist use |
| Purple / Black | 0.20g in distinctive colour | Speedsoft, training drills, coaching visibility |
| Green (Bio Tracer) | Bio tracer range: 0.20g, 0.23g, 0.25g, 0.28g, 0.30g, 0.32g | Outdoor night events at bio-mandatory sites |
The White range covers the weights used by the majority of UK airsoft players on standard game days — 0.20g through 0.32g. BLS White is the precision upgrade for players who want tighter BB consistency at standard play weights. The impact is most noticeable in upgraded AEGs and GBB pistols: more consistent groupings, more predictable hop-up engagement, fewer random fliers that appear even when the rifle is correctly set up.
The 0.23g weight is unique to BLS in this range — sitting between 0.20g and 0.25g, it suits players who find 0.20g too light outdoors but aren't yet using 0.25g. Three pack formats: 3,400 count bottle for individual field use, 1kg bag for regular players who want better value per round, and 25kg bulk sack for sites and teams.
Weight selection guide
| Weight | Ideal for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 0.20g | Indoor CQB, beginners, high-volume, speedsoft | Standard play weight — low wind resistance |
| 0.23g | Transitional outdoor weight unique to BLS | Between 0.20g and 0.25g — suits players who find 0.20g too light outdoors |
| 0.25g | General outdoor skirmish — UK standard | Best all-round balance for most AEGs |
| 0.28g | Upgraded outdoor AEGs | Better range and wind resistance |
| 0.30g | Longer-range outdoor, well-tuned hop-up | For AEGs running 350–380 FPS with quality hop |
| 0.32g | DMR, precision builds | Needs more hop-up pressure than 0.30g |
| 0.36g+ | Sniper and high-power platforms only | Not suitable for standard AEGs |
