Combat Games Essentials Basic Pistol Case — cheap enough that you stop rationing them. Three colours, 0.8kg each, and the same interlocking shell as the rifle cases, so a set of them travels as one block.

Most people own one pistol case and end up using it for whichever gun is going out that week, which means unpacking and repacking before every game. At this end of the market that is a false economy. Buy one per pistol, keep each one packed with that gun’s own magazines and kit, and grab the box you want on the way out.

That is where the three colours earn their keep. Black, tan and OD green are not a styling exercise when you own several — they are how you tell at a glance which box has the gas gun in it and which has the trainer you lend out. Colour-coding beats labels, which fall off.

The build is the same thinking as the rifle cases: polymer shell, sliding locks, cutouts for TSA padlocks, a carry handle and egg-shell wave foam inside. 31cm by 27cm by 7.5cm externally and 0.8kg empty, so it holds a pistol with magazines and a gas can without being a thing you notice in a bag.

They also interlock with the larger CGE cases rather than only with each other, so a pistol case clips onto a rifle case and the pair move together.

Good to know before you buy

At 7.5cm deep this suits a pistol lying flat with magazines beside it. A pistol with a red dot and a compensator fitted is worth measuring first.

Locks are not included. The cutouts take small TSA-pattern padlocks rather than the heavier rifle-case fittings — our case locks range has both.

Wave foam has a fixed profile. For a pistol and spare magazines that is fine; for an odd-shaped kit list, pick-and-pluck foam is the better answer.

IP55 covers dust and sprayed water, which is a car boot and a rainy walk to the safe zone. It is not a seal for storing a gun somewhere damp over winter — add a dehumidifier stone if that is the plan.

Gas and pyro have their own transport rules. The case does not change what you are allowed to carry, so check before travelling with either.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit a Hi-Capa or a long-slide pistol?
The shell is 31cm by 27cm by 7.5cm on the outside and the maker does not publish the internal figures, so we are not going to promise a fit we have not measured. Tell us the pistol and we will measure a case here before you order.

How many magazines will it take alongside the pistol?
The wave foam cradles the gun with room either side for a handful of magazines and a gas can. It is a one-pistol case with accessories, not a two-pistol case.

Do the three colours differ in any other way?
No. Same shell, same foam, same rating, same weight. The colour is the only difference, which is exactly why it is useful if you buy more than one.

Can I lock it?
Yes, the cutouts take TSA-pattern padlocks, but you supply the lock. Our case locks range carries them.

Does it clip to the rifle cases?
Yes. The interlocking moulding works across the whole CGE range regardless of size, so a pistol case and a rifle case carry as one.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: If you run a gas pistol and a spare, buy two in different colours and keep one packed for cold weather with the gas you actually use in winter. The ten seconds you save rummaging is not the point — not taking the wrong gun to a game is. More in our hard cases.
