The ZERO system separates into a goggle frame and a facemask that clips to it, and the GRX sits at the top of that range. What you are paying for over the Pro is the finish and the lenses: CRBN apply a multilayer graphic rather than a flat colour contrast, and the box contains three lenses instead of two — a HighLight tint matched to the colourway, a versatile MidLight, and a clear LowLight for dusk, indoors and anything overcast.
Coverage is the choice people get wrong. The less-coverage mask is the low-profile one and is the lightest high-end goggle CRBN build; it leaves more of your jaw exposed and most competitive players take it for the field of view and the weight. More coverage wraps further around the jaw and ears, which is the one to take for airsoft and especially for CQB, where the shots that hurt are the ones that come in from the side at three metres. Both masks fit the same frame, so you can own one goggle and swap.
The frame details are what make it quick to live with. The lens is held by a magnetic quick-change lock rather than a fiddly bezel, so swapping tints between games takes seconds with cold hands. The chin strap closes on a Fidlock magnetic buckle. The foam is modular and dual density, so it can be replaced when it packs down rather than condemning the goggle, and the strap is a 1.5-inch dual silicone band that holds on a bare head or over a cap.
One thing worth saying plainly: this is a paintball goggle system, and CRBN build and list it for both paintball and airsoft. That matters because paintball impact energy is far above anything an airsoft gun produces, so the protection margin here is generous. What you are really buying for airsoft use is the optical clarity, the venting and the fact that the lower face is covered at all.

Good to know before you buy
Coverage is the decision that matters, not the colourway. More coverage wraps the jaw and ears and is the one to take for airsoft and CQB above all; less coverage is lighter with a wider view and suits a tournament player. Both masks clip to the same frame.
Three lenses and the graphic finish are what separate this from the Pro. If you would realistically run one tint and a clear and nothing else, the Pro covers that for less money.
CRBN build and list the ZERO for paintball as well, so the impact margin is generous for our use. For airsoft what you are really paying for is the clarity, the venting and a covered lower face.
Frequently asked questions
More or less coverage?
More coverage for airsoft and CQB, less coverage if you want the lightest option and the widest view and accept a more exposed jaw. The frame is identical either way.
Why three lenses and not two?
That is the GRX over the Pro. You get a mid-tint as well as a bright-light and a clear lens, which covers a British game day without you having to guess the weather in the car park.
Are the ELMT colourways limited?
CRBN run the ELMT finishes as limited production colourways. When a run is gone it is gone, and we can only order what our supplier still holds.
Can I buy replacement lenses and foam?
Yes — the lens lock and the foam are both designed as service items. Ask us for the part you need.
