Missed reloads cost rounds, and they happen most when you are least able to afford them. This magwell widens the funnel geometry substantially, so the magazine is steered into the frame instead of needing to be lined up with it. On a pistol as fast as the AAP-01, that is time you get back every single change.
The second job is ergonomic. The wide lower ridge gives the support hand real purchase and encourages a high grip, which helps with muzzle control when the gun is cycling quickly. At 26.8g in 6061-T6 aircraft aluminium, none of that comes at a meaningful weight penalty.
It drops onto a factory AAP-01 or AAP-01C lower frame with no machining, using the supplied bracket and stainless screws.

Good to know before you buy
The frame it fits is the AAP-01 or AAP-01C. You will see this part described elsewhere as also fitting G and EU series pistols — that is a misreading of the manufacturer’s data, where the G-series reference is about which magazines it accepts, not which frame it bolts to. We have left it out of the title for that reason.
Magazine coverage is genuinely broad: standard G-series gas magazines, extended ones, and the M4 and MP5 HPA adapters all feed through it. If you run the gun on air, that last part is the one to note — see our HPA pistol adaptors range.
A flared magwell and a moulded retention holster are often an either-or decision. Check yours before fitting rather than after.
There is a standard-profile magwell for this platform as well. If you want the grip benefit without the larger footprint, that is the one to look at.
Frequently asked questions
Does this fit a G-series or EU-series pistol?
No. The manufacturer specifies AAP-01 and AAP-01C frames. The G-series mention in their data refers to magazine compatibility, and some listings elsewhere have turned that into a frame claim it does not support.
Will it take my HPA magazine adapter?
Yes — the M4 and MP5 adapters are both listed as compatible, which is one of the reasons to choose the large flared version.
Is any frame modification needed?
None. It is a drop-in part for factory frames and comes with its own bracket and screws.
Does it add much weight to the front of the gun?
Not really. 26.8g on a pistol is small enough that most people notice the improved grip long before they notice the mass.
