A conventional slide throws its entire mass backwards and forwards every shot. The Superline splits that job: the barrel section stays put and only the rear portion cycles, which brings the reciprocating weight down to 38.6g. Less mass moving means a quicker reset, less gas spent shifting metal, and a muzzle that settles rather than climbs.
Mounting the optic to the stationary front half is the part people notice first. A red dot bolted to a cycling slide is being shaken several times a second; here it is bolted to something that does not move, so the sight picture survives a double tap. A riser block is included for taller sight lines.
Hop adjustment lives on a TDC wheel on the barrel housing, so tuning happens with your fingers rather than with the gun in pieces. This is the successor to the Flatline, and the changes are mostly about optic integration and balance.

Good to know before you buy
Fit the supplied short stroke buffers and the 180% nozzle spring. The assembly cycles fast enough that the standard return spring can struggle to reset the nozzle in time, and the kit includes the answer for exactly that reason.
The non-tilting blocks are not optional furniture either — they clamp the hop chamber and outer barrel to the frame, which is where the consistency gain actually comes from.
Threading is 11mm CW at the barrel, with a 14mm CCW adapter supplied, so a conventional tracer or muzzle device fits once the adapter is on. Our tracer units and thread adaptors pages cover what goes on the end.
This is a Tokyo Marui 5.1 part. A 4.3 needs the 4.3 version, and clone frames are a check-first proposition.
Frequently asked questions
Does my red dot need a particular footprint?
The optic plate is machined into the outer barrel and a riser is supplied to extend what will sit on it. Tell us which sight you run and we will confirm before you order rather than guess — our red dot and holo sights range is a useful reference.
Will it work on gas and on a line?
It is a gas slide assembly by design. Plenty of people run split slides on air as well, and the fixed-barrel layout suits it, but that is a conversation about your whole setup rather than a yes or no — our tech service can advise.
Is the slide stop still functional?
Yes. The manufacturer lists slide stop function as fully supported, which is not a given on split-slide designs.
How much lighter is this than a standard slide?
The figure that matters is the moving mass, and that is 38.6g here. The complete assembly including the fixed front section comes to 136.8g.
