- description
Choosing between the two colours is purely a question of what you want to look at, and of what else is in your kit. A tan rifle disappears against dry ground, sandbags and brick far better than black does, which is why the pattern took hold on issued weapons in the first place.
Everything behind the finish is the heavy-calibre SCAR: a larger receiver than the 5.56 version, the longer magazine housing that goes with it, and a polymer body that keeps the weight sensible for something with this much presence.
Officially licensed through Cybergun, it carries genuine FN markings. On a tan gun those roll marks stand out more than they do in black, which is worth knowing if the trade dress is part of why you want one.

Good to know
Tan polymer and tan nylon gear rarely match exactly, and they are not meant to. If you are building a coordinated loadout, treat the rifle as the anchor shade and choose pouches against it rather than trying to find an exact pair.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same rifle as the black version? Mechanically, yes. The finish, the barcode and the price are the only differences.
Why does the tan cost slightly more? It arrives from our supplier at a higher cost than the black, and we price the two separately rather than averaging them.
Does it take SCAR-L magazines? No. The heavy SCAR uses the larger 7.62-pattern magazine and the wells are not interchangeable.
What does the Kestrel unit add? A crisper, more repeatable trigger, plus adjustable pre-cocking, active braking and protection against a flat battery or a locked rotor.
