The CM048S is the under-folder: an AK47 with the steel stock that folds down and forward beneath the body, the configuration issued to airborne and vehicle crews who needed the rifle to pack short. CYMA build it in metal for the weight and rattle-free feel the design deserves.
The under-folder was designed so paratroopers and vehicle crews could stow a full-power rifle in a tight space, trading a little cheek comfort for a genuinely compact footprint when collapsed. On the field that means a rifle you can sling close while moving through buildings, then extend for a stable shoulder weld when you need to make the shot.
What's on the outside
The under-folding stock latches flat against the underside of the receiver, and the metal body carries the classic AK furniture and banana magazine.
