A fixed stock is an unfashionable choice that quietly makes sense. There is no hinge to develop play and no tube to rattle, the cheek weld lands in the same place every time, and the hollow interior is where the battery goes, so the handguard stays free for everything else.
That handguard is the other reason to pick this one. It is an aluminium RIS unit rather than the classic polymer tropical, so lights, lasers and a foregrip bolt straight on — and a foregrip is already in the box.
Underneath it is the standard second-generation Platinum package: a Version 2 gearbox with 8mm steel ball bearings, 13:1 CNC gears in a short-stroke configuration, the QSC quick-change spring system and a Kestrel V2 electronic trigger unit.

Good to know
The battery compartment is reached by taking off the stock buttplate, which is a tidier job than threading a pack under a handguard but does mean the stock has to come apart to swap batteries mid-game. Two charged packs are easier than one quick change.
There are two ways to drop a magazine on this one: the button where the magazine well meets the lower receiver, and the lever ahead of the trigger guard. Worth knowing before you develop a habit around only one of them.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose a fixed stock? Rigidity and simplicity. No hinge, no tube and no play, plus the battery lives inside it. The trade is overall length, which stays at 675mm.
Is the handguard metal? Yes, the RIS handguard is aluminium. The handguard covers, lower receiver and stock are nylon and the rest of the outside is metal.
Does a foregrip come with it? Yes, one is supplied, along with two 130-round mid-caps and a BB speedloader.
Can I fit a suppressor or tracer? Yes. The muzzle device carries a tri-lug mount and a 14mm counter-clockwise thread, so either standard works.
