The A3 is the MP5 most people picture when they picture a retracting stock: a slim tube with a rubber pad, no side hinge and nothing to catch. Closed, it shortens the gun for a doorway; extended, it gives a full shoulder weld.
Underneath, this is the same second-generation Platinum platform as the rest of the line. A Version 2 gearbox on 8mm ball bearings, 13:1 CNC gears cut for short-stroking, a QSC quick-change spring and a Kestrel V2 unit bringing adjustable pre-cocking, active braking and battery protection.
The front end stays traditional — the classic handguard rather than a rail tube, so the profile is pure MP5. Sights are a diopter rear and a hooded front, with a mounting point between them for a low MP5 rail if you want a red dot instead.

Good to know
The battery sits at the front under the handguard on this one, not in the stock, which means the pack shape matters more than the capacity. A slim stick or a small nunchuck fits; a chunky block may not.
No rail is supplied. If you want an optic, the low MP5 rail that clamps between the sights is the tidy way to do it.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the folding CM041? Stock and handguard. The A3 slides straight back on a tube in three positions and keeps the classic handguard; the CM041 folds its stock and carries RIS rails up front.
Where does the battery go? At the front, beneath the handguard, so choose a pack that suits that space rather than a stock tube.
Can I mount a sight? Yes, on a low rail that fits between the existing sights. The handguard itself carries no rails.
Is the muzzle threaded? Yes, 14mm counter-clockwise, with a tri-lug mount as well.
