Twenty millimetres does not sound like much until you are working a stairwell or getting in and out of a vehicle. The TBS Compact is DLG’s answer for builds where overall length is the constraint, and it gets there by shortening the body rather than by thinning it — at 48mm across it is nearer the wide stocks than the slim ones.
That combination is the point of it. You keep a proper cheek platform and a full rubber pad, and you lose length rather than comfort. At 224g it sits in the middle of the range for weight.
The rest is standard DLG: a QD sling loop moulded into the base, the two-stage latch that lets the stock come off the tube entirely on the second click, and an interference fit along the tube that keeps it from rattling.

Frequently asked questions
How much shorter is it, really?
180mm against 200mm for the FPT, Classic, Select and Sharp. That is the stock body itself; how much it takes off your overall length depends on your tube and where you run the stock.
Is there a mil-spec version?
DLG do make one — it is a different part number and we do not stock it. If your tube is mil-spec, say so and we will look at sourcing it rather than sell you this by mistake.
Short but not slim — is that odd?
It is deliberate. Shortening the body keeps the cheek platform intact, where thinning it would not. If you want slim rather than short, the TBS Classic is the one.
Does the shorter body affect the latch?
No. It is the same two-stage mechanism as the rest of the family — slide on the first click, off the tube on the second.
What colours are available?
DLG produce black, beige and green. We have the black in; ask about the other two.
