EMG x Daniel Defense MK18 Ver. 2 Receiver Set. A licensed metal alloy receiver pair carrying genuine Daniel Defense roll marks and laser engraving, anodised against wear and weather, and supplied with the small parts already in it. Built by CYMA under the EMG licence.

A receiver set is the shell of the gun rather than the mechanism, and swapping one is how you change what a rifle is without starting again. Your gearbox, motor, barrel assembly and furniture all come across; what changes is the body they sit in and, crucially, what is stamped on it. For anyone building towards a specific real-world configuration, the markings are the whole point — a correct lower is the difference between a rifle that reads as the thing and one that reads as a replica of it.

This is the Mk18 Ver. 2 pattern, licensed properly from Daniel Defense, so the roll marks and engraving are theirs rather than an approximation of them. The alloy is anodised to a finish that resists both handling wear and British weather, which matters more on a receiver than on almost any other part: it is the surface your hands, your sling and every doorframe spend the day against.

It arrives populated rather than bare. The fiddly small components are already fitted, which removes the most irritating part of a receiver swap — hunting a dust cover spring across a workshop floor at eleven at night. What you are left with is a straightforward transfer of your own internals.

Fitment is the thing to check before ordering. EMG list it for Matrix, Tokyo Marui and G&P M4 and M16 series AEGs, and for other compatible rifles — that last phrase is doing real work, because M4 clones vary in trigger pocket, pin spacing and buffer thread even between makers who claim the same standard. If your rifle is from another manufacturer, tell us what it is and we will check before anything ships.

Good to know

Does my gun fit? It is listed for Matrix, Tokyo Marui and G&P M4 and M16 AEGs plus other compatible rifles. M4 clones are not as standardised as people assume, so ask us with your exact model if it is not one of those three.

What do I have to move across? Your gearbox, motor, inner barrel and hop unit, outer barrel, handguard, stock and grip. The receiver set is the body only.

Is anything already installed? Yes — the charging handle, selector switch, dust cover, forward assist, magazine catch and bolt release come in it.

Black or Bronze? Both are the same part in a different anodised finish. Bronze suits a build going for a modern civilian or contractor look; black is the correct choice for a military configuration.

Is this a complete gun? No, and it will not fire. It is a body shell with the small parts fitted, intended for an existing rifle or a build.

⚠ Check before you buy, not after: a receiver swap is easy when the parts match and a long evening when they do not. Confirm your rifle's make and generation with us if it is anything other than a Matrix, Tokyo Marui or G&P, because a trigger pocket half a millimetre out is not something you can file away.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: A receiver swap is the moment to refresh what goes inside it — have a look through spare and upgrade parts while the gun is apart. Complete rifles live in Airsoft Rifles.
