EMG x Spike's Tactical Receiver Set. The same licensed-receiver treatment applied to a less obvious name. Metal alloy, anodised, carrying Spike's Tactical roll marks and engraving under EMG licence, with the small components already installed. CYMA built.

Most licensed receivers on the market wear one of three or four very familiar logos, which is fine until every gun at a game wears the same one. Spike's Tactical are a Florida maker with their own following and their own visual identity, and a lower carrying their marks reads as a deliberate choice rather than a default. If the appeal of a licensed receiver is that it says something specific about the build, a name people have to look twice at says more than the one they expected.

Underneath the branding it is honest to be plain: this is the same construction as the rest of the EMG licensed receiver line. Metal alloy, anodised for wear and weather, assembled by CYMA, populated with the small parts. EMG do not claim a performance difference between their licensed sets and we are not going to invent one. What you are choosing between is markings, not engineering.

Practically, it behaves like any receiver change: the body is new, everything functional moves over from your existing rifle. Budget an evening, lay the small parts out in order as they come off, and keep the springs somewhere they cannot roll. The pre-installed components in this set remove a good share of that work before you start.

One caution on compatibility, and it is the same one that applies across the line. The stated fitment covers Matrix, Tokyo Marui and G&P M4 and M16 AEGs, with other compatible rifles beyond that. M4 is a pattern rather than a specification, and tolerances drift between manufacturers. Ask us with your model in hand if it falls outside those three.

Good to know

How is it different from the Daniel Defense set? The licence and the markings. Construction, finish, fitment and the included parts are the same, and no performance difference is claimed by either.

Which colours can I have? Black only. The Daniel Defense pattern is the one that also comes in bronze.

What is in the box beyond the receivers? Everything listed in the specifications above is already installed — the bolt release, magazine catch and forward assist included, so nothing small is left for you to source.

Will it take my existing internals? That is the intent — it is a shell swap. Check your rifle is one of the listed platforms or ask us first.

Can I shoot it on its own? No. There is no gearbox, barrel or hop unit here. It is a body for a gun you already have or are assembling.

⚠ Keep your old receiver: if the rifle is ever sold on, or a part turns out not to transfer cleanly, the original body is the thing you will wish you had kept. It costs nothing to put in a box.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Worth doing the internals at the same time if the gun is coming apart anyway — the upgrade parts range covers gearbox and hop components. Ask us about fitment for anything outside the listed platforms.
