The Chinese zodiac cycle brings the Year of the Tiger every twelve years — a year associated with strength, courage, and unpredictability. G&G marked the most recent Year of the Tiger (2022) with this limited edition GPM1911, applying an Eastern aesthetic to the classic American 1911 silhouette. The result is one of the most visually distinctive pistols in the GPM1911 limited edition range.
The gold finish covers the slide with tiger-striped detailing applied across it. The wooden grip panels carry artistic Eastern-style engravings — the Chinese character for "tiger" is laser engraved on the left panel. The left side of the slide is engraved with "2022", marking the year of production. The decorative case continues the Eastern aesthetic of the piece.
Production is limited to 1,000 units worldwide. The Year of the Tiger comes again in 2034 — a long wait if you miss this edition.
