Eighteen grams, and enough punch to run a solenoid. A 2S 300mAh Giant Power pack on a JST (BEC) plug, the size HPA builds actually have room for.

Nothing in an HPA gun needs a battery to turn a motor, because there is no motor to turn. What draws current is the solenoid and whatever board is timing it, and that demand arrives as short hard spikes rather than a steady pull. Capacity therefore matters far less than the pack's ability to dump current on demand.

That is what the C figures describe. This pack is rated 35C continuous, which works out at 10.5A, and 70C in burst, which is 21A. A solenoid firing is a burst, so the second number is the one doing the work — and it is why a physically tiny pack can still give a clean, immediate break.

Eighteen grams and a 2S1P stack means it goes in the places an HPA build leaves you: a grip, a stock tube, the gap behind a receiver. It arrives with a two-pin JST (BEC) plug fitted and a three-pin JST-XH balance lead, so any balance charger will take it.

Giant Power is an RC model battery brand rather than an airsoft one, which is rather the point — small high-discharge packs are a solved problem in model flight, and the electrical job an HPA board asks for is the same job.

Frequently asked questions

Will it run my AEG? No, and do not try. Three hundred milliamp-hours is nowhere near a motor's appetite. This is for engines and control boards only.

Which engines does it suit? Any running a 7.4V board and taking a JST plug. Check the voltage window your engine or FCU specifies before ordering — some accept 7.4V only, some allow more, and going over what the maker states can cook the unit.

How big is it physically? Eighteen grams is the only figure the supplier publishes, and we are not going to guess the millimetres. If it has to fit a specific cavity, ask us and we will measure one before it ships.

What charger do I need? Anything that balance-charges a 2S LiPo. The balance lead is the common three-pin JST-XH, and at this size a low charge rate is kinder than the 1.5A maximum.

Is 70C burst a real number or marketing? Treat continuous as the figure to design around and burst as headroom. For a solenoid, which draws in milliseconds rather than seconds, the headroom is genuinely the part being used.

⚠ LiPo handling, the short version. Balance-charge through the balance lead, in a charging bag, on a surface that will not burn, and never leave it unattended. Store around 3.8V per cell if it is going in a drawer, keep it above 3.0V per cell in use, and retire any pack that has puffed. The supplier includes printed guidance — it is worth the two minutes.
