The Heretic Labs 8” Carbon Fiber Outer Barrel is the barrel fitted to every standard Article Series build — chosen because it delivers the best balance of length, rigidity, and weight for a CQB or speedsoft platform. It’s not a cosmetic carbon wrap over a steel core; it’s a CNC aluminium inner core wrapped in genuine carbon fibre, giving you a barrel that’s genuinely lighter than the material it replaces rather than simply looking the part.

At ~107g it’s meaningfully lighter than a steel outer barrel of equivalent length. On a platform like the Article or MTW where weight distribution and fast handling are priorities, reducing front-end weight has a real, immediate effect on how quickly you can bring the gun up, transition between targets, and manoeuvre in tight spaces. The carbon fibre wrap also maintains rigidity under temperature extremes better than polymer alternatives.

Black weave finish is neutral and clean — it works on every colour scheme and doesn’t show wear the way powder-coated metal does. 14mm CCW muzzle thread accepts all standard suppressors, tracer units, and flash hiders. The included CNC aluminium barrel stabiliser ensures the barrel sits correctly aligned in the MTW upper receiver without play, and protects the mounting point from wear.
