What separates a Proflex from a cheaper goggle is how the shell is made. JT use insert moulding to run two different stiffnesses through one part: the upper section around the lens stays rigid where the impact lands, while the lower jaw line is left soft and flexible so it moves with your face instead of levering against it. That is why the platform has the reputation it has for all-day comfort rather than just protection.
The lens is JT’s Spectra unit — dual-pane thermal construction with a 260 degree field of vision, finished with a silicone hard coat that JT rate at three times the scratch resistance of the industry standard. It carries their approved ASTM standard for eye protection. A removable visor and soft ear pieces are standard across every Proflex, and the system takes the JT Vortex II fan if you want forced air behind the lens.
ICE is the translucent finish in the range, distinct from the solid Liquid versions of the same stones. Production per colourway is limited and the series does not come back round, so the colours sitting here are the colours that exist — the practical consequence is that spares are generic Proflex parts rather than colour-matched ones once a run has ended.

Good to know before you buy
It is a paintball goggle, and the lens has an airsoft history. JT fit the same Spectra lens to the Tippmann Tactical Airsoft Goggle, so the optic is one plenty of airsoft players have already looked through. Full-face paintball protection is heavier than most airsoft players run, which is the trade for the jaw coverage — worth knowing before you buy it as a skirmish goggle rather than a paintball one.
Check which chin strap you are matching. Everything in this listing is the standard padded strap. JT also build Birthstone goggles on a magnet chin strap as a separate product, and the two are not the same part, so if you are replacing a strap or matching an existing setup, look at what is on your goggle first.
The modular side is the real argument for the platform. Frames, noses, skirts, visors and ear pieces are all separate parts, and the lens crosses over to the Flex-8 and Proshield as well. One spare lens covers more than one goggle in the same cupboard — the rest of our eye protection sits alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
Which lens colour comes in the box?
JT do not publish that for the Birthstone series, and we would rather tell you so than guess. Ask us before you order and we will confirm what is physically on the goggle you are buying.
Will my existing JT lens fit?
If it is a Spectra lens, yes. JT make the Spectra fit every goggle in that family — Proflex, Flex-8 and Proshield — so a spare you already own carries straight over, and a thermal you buy for this will fit the next one.
Can I use it for airsoft?
Mechanically there is nothing stopping you, and JT use the same lens in an airsoft goggle of their own. Check with whichever site you play before you rely on it, because eye protection rules are set by the site and not by the goggle.
Does the visor come off?
Yes. The visor is removable on every Proflex, not just this series, so you can run it bare or swap to a different one without changing anything else.
Will more stones be added to this listing?
The series runs monthly and JT have started a second wave, so more may become available to us. What is on this page is what we can currently get.
