Tank-mounted regulators take more abuse than any other part of an HPA system — they're the part that hits the floor when you set your tank down too hard, the part that catches on rig molle when you're rolling through cover, and the part that wears its threads first. KAD's Legacy Storm On-Tank Base Replacement is the spare that gets your reg back into service when the original base finally lets go.

Direct fitment to existing Storm-series on-tank regulators. Strip the regulator from the tank, swap the base, refit. No retuning, no adjustment — the regulator itself is unchanged, you've just replaced the part that mates it to the tank.

Why bases fail

The base houses the threads that engage with the tank valve and the seal that keeps everything pressurised. After dozens of fill cycles, those threads compress and the seals work-harden — eventually you'll see slow leakage during fill, or worse, a noticeable hiss when the regulator is under pressure. Replacing the base before total failure is much cheaper than replacing the whole regulator.
