KWA build their own gas systems rather than buying them in, and the NS3 is the current one. What it buys you on a gas gun is cold-weather behaviour: a system engineered around a short-stroke piston cycles with less gas per shot, so the magazine holds pressure further into a string and the gun keeps shooting when a longer-stroke design has gone soft. On a British game day in February that is the difference between a gun you use and a gun you carry.
The velocity band is the part worth reading twice. 320 to 350 fps on a 0.20 gram BB puts it inside the limit most UK sites set for a full-auto gun without any tuning at all, which is unusual on a gas platform and means it arrives ready to chronograph through rather than ready to argue about. Rate of fire is a genuine 25 rounds per second when you hold the trigger.
Controls are ambidextrous throughout — selector, charging handle and magazine release — so it suits a left-handed shooter without parts swaps, and it suits anyone who shoots off both shoulders around cover. The front end is M-LOK, the rear takes any 1913 stock through the supplied adapter, and there are sling points scattered around the body rather than one compromise position.
One detail to note before you order a muzzle device: the thread is a 12mm positive behind a three-lug interface, with an orange tri-lug fitted from the factory. That is not the 14mm counter-clockwise most of your existing accessories will be, so a tracer or suppressor needs either the right thread or an adapter.

Good to know
Will it pass a UK site chronograph? The published band is 320 to 350 fps on a 0.20 gram BB, which sits inside most full-auto limits as it comes. Chronograph it at your own venue regardless, because gas output moves with temperature.
Can I run CO2 in it? KWA list the system as CO2-compatible. Expect higher output and re-chronograph before you play, because what passes on green gas may not on CO2.
What thread is the muzzle? 12mm positive behind a three-lug, with an orange tri-lug already on it. Check any tracer or suppressor you own before assuming it fits.
Do the magazines fit anything else? Yes — the 48-round magazine is shared with KWA's KMP9 and KMP9R, so a spare covers more than one gun if you own either.
Is it left-hand friendly? Entirely. Selector, charging handle and magazine release are all ambidextrous as standard, with nothing to buy or swap.
