- description
Airsoft accuracy is decided at the hop, not at the muzzle. The bucking is what actually grips the BB and imparts backspin, and a worn or poorly designed one produces inconsistent spin no amount of barrel money will fix. It is also the cheapest part in the chain, which is a rare combination.
Maple Leaf built their reputation on exactly this, and the Autobot is one of their better-known designs. The contact geometry is engineered to grip the BB consistently rather than simply pressing on it, which is what turns a shot group from a pattern into a cluster.
Choose hardness to suit your setup. Softer buckings suit lower power and lighter BBs; harder ones handle higher power and heavier ammunition without deforming. If you are unsure, tell us your joule limit and BB weight and we will recommend one.
VSR and GBB specification, so it suits bolt action rifles and gas blowback platforms rather than standard AEG chambers.

Good to know before you buy
Select hardness to match your power level and BB weight rather than guessing — too soft at high power deforms, too hard at low power will not grip. Tell us your joule limit and BB weight and we will recommend the right one. This is VSR and GBB spec; for a standard AEG chamber the Super Macaron is the equivalent.
Frequently asked questions
Which hardness should I choose?
It depends on your power and BB weight. Higher joules and heavier BBs want a harder bucking; lower power and lighter BBs want softer. Send us your figures and we will advise.
Will it fit my AEG?
This is VSR and GBB specification. For a standard AEG chamber, look at the Maple Leaf Super Macaron instead.
Is a bucking really worth upgrading?
It is the single most cost-effective accuracy upgrade there is. The bucking decides how consistently the BB is spun, and consistency is what accuracy actually means.
Do I need to re-tune the hop after fitting?
Yes, always. Start from zero and work up rather than assuming your old setting carries across.
