- description
Maple Leaf designed the Decepticons pad around a pressure point rather than a flat contact strip. The BB is gripped over a shaped area instead of a line, which is what keeps groups together once you push past the velocities where a stock bucking starts to drift.
The steel C-clip is the part worth paying attention to. A rubber lip on its own relaxes as it warms and as it ages, and a relaxed lip leaks; the clip holds the lip against the barrel window so the seal does not soften over a long game day.
It suits Tokyo Marui, WE and KJ gas pistols, WE gas blowback rifles, and VSR-10 pattern air cocking rifles. One caveat from the manufacturer: the pressure point geometry wants an open-type hop window, which is what Marui pistol barrels and most compatible barrels use.

Good to know before you buy
Pick the hardness from your velocity, not from the colour. A softer bucking at high velocity gets chewed and starts flyering; a hard bucking at low velocity never deforms enough to put spin on the BB. The spec table above lists the manufacturer's own FPS window for each option.
It is cut for an open hop window. If your inner barrel has a bridged or part-closed window the pressure point sits in the wrong place and you lose the benefit. Marui pistol barrels and most aftermarket copies are open-type, and the inner barrels section lists what we carry.
Fit it with the barrel out. Rolling a stiff bucking onto a barrel still inside the chamber is how lips get nicked. Take the barrel out, seat the bucking square, check the C-clip is sitting in its groove, then refit.
Frequently asked questions
Which hardness should I order?
Match it to your muzzle velocity using the figures in the spec table. If you sit between two options, take the harder one for a gas gun that runs warm in summer and the softer one for a rifle you shoot in the cold, since silicone and rubber both stiffen as the temperature drops.
What is the C-clip for?
It is a steel ring moulded into the lip. Rubber relaxes with heat and age, and a relaxed lip lets air past the BB; the clip keeps the lip pressed to the barrel window so the seal stays consistent rather than fading through a game.
Will it fit my inner barrel?
It needs an open-type hop window. Tokyo Marui pistol barrels and the large majority of aftermarket barrels built to that pattern are fine. A bridged window will physically fit but puts the contact patch in the wrong place, so you will not see the gain.
Rubber or the silicone version?
Rubber is the all-round choice and holds its shape well in normal conditions. The silicone version of this bucking is the one to pick if you play through winter, because silicone stays flexible at low temperatures where rubber goes stiff.
