Monk Customs ESG Grip — Heretic Labs Article I, Angled

Not everyone shoots from a squared, modern stance. Plenty of players still turn the body to the target, particularly those who came to airsoft from a shooting background, and a bladed stance puts the wrist under strain on a vertical grip. A raked grip lets the wrist sit naturally.

This is the angled cut of the same ESG design — identical fitment, identical build, different geometry where your hand meets it. On a long game day the difference shows up as less fatigue rather than as anything dramatic on the first magazine.

It is worth noting that grip angle interacts with stock length. If you are running a shorter stock, an angled grip often feels better than a straight one at the same length of pull.

As with the vertical version, Monk categorise the ESG as an aluminium grip but publish no weight, so we are not quoting one. The fitment is documented and specific: the raked cut, for the Article I. Monk state the grip is compatible with all ESG regulator housing versions.

What you are ordering. Monk build the ESG in more configurations than we hold. These are the ergonomic bulge profile with a black gripwell. Monk also make a slimmer no-bulge cut and a silver gripwell. If you want one of those, ask and we will price it as a special order.

Frequently asked questions

What is the actual grip angle? Monk do not publish a figure in degrees. It is the raked option against their vertical one, which is the comparison that matters in practice.

Can I swap between the two later? Yes, both are direct fits to the Article I, so changing your mind costs a grip rather than a rebuild.

What is the ergonomic bulge? The fuller palm swell on the back of the grip. Monk offer a slimmer no-bulge cut as an alternative; we stock the bulge version by default.

Is this the Article II version? No. That Article takes its own ESG, and there is a front-gauge variant of it.
