The Gen 3 sits deliberately between a shooter’s belt and traditional webbing. Its core is a 1.75″ rigid duty belt rather than a 2″ one, and that narrower profile is the point: under a plate carrier there is simply less belt to get trapped between the carrier and your hip bones, which is where a wide war belt starts to hurt after a few hours.
Over that core slides a laser-cut laminate sleeve, held against rotation by a Velcro locating strap. The cut-outs take MOLLE-compatible attachments directly, with no sewn webbing adding thickness. Slide the sleeve off and you are left with a plain rigid belt that threads through trouser loops like any other — that is a designed-in feature rather than a compromise.
On this version the sleeve carries genuine Crye Multicam, which shows to better effect here than on a narrower belt because the laminate presents an uninterrupted face rather than a woven one. The buckle is supplied in coyote so it tones into the pattern instead of cutting a black bar across the front of you.

Frequently asked questions
What is the retention strap on the buckle for? It holds the D-Ring flat when nothing is clipped to it. Left loose, a D-Ring swings and taps against the buckle, which is exactly the noise you do not want while moving quietly.
Can I wear it without the sleeve? Yes. The sleeve is fully removable and the belt underneath works as an ordinary rigid duty belt.
How does this differ from the Kydex Customs 2″ belt? Different maker and different belt. This is Milspec Tailor at 1.75″ with a removable sleeve and a D-Ring buckle; the Kydex Customs belt is 50mm with a fixed outer.
