Going from 8.4v NiMH to 11.1v LiPo is the cheapest noticeable change you can make to an AEG. The motor sees more voltage, the trigger picks up, and the rate of fire climbs. This is the pack most people land on first because the stick format fits the most guns and the price is sensible for something you will own several of.

Twenty C at 1100mAh works out to 22 amps of continuous draw, which is comfortably more than a standard gearbox asks for. The useful consequence is not raw power but consistency: a pack that is not straining holds its voltage through a burst, so the last round of a long trigger pull leaves at the same speed as the first.

At 115g and 102mm it is the compact end of the 3S range. If your battery space is longer than it is wide, measure before you commit — 21mm square is slim, but the length is what usually decides.

Good to know before you buy

Check your gun is happy on 11.1v before you order. A healthy modern gearbox usually is. An older one with a stock spring guide and no MOSFET is working harder at 11.1v, and the first thing to give is the trigger contacts. If in doubt, ask us what your model takes.

It needs a balance charger, not a wall wart. LiPo packs are charged per cell through the JST-XH lead, and a NiMH charger will not do it. Chargers are in our chargers section and a charging bag is not optional.

Small Tamiya is the plug, and adapters exist. If your gun is wired to Deans, you want either the Deans version of a pack or a short adapter lead rather than cutting this one — a soldered joint inside a buffer tube is a hard thing to inspect later.

Frequently asked questions

Will this fit in a crane stock?
A 102mm stick will usually go into a crane stock tube, but crane stocks vary and some have a wiring channel that eats the length. Tell us which stock you are running and we will check before you order.

Is 20C enough?
For a standard AEG, comfortably. Twenty C on 1100mAh is 22 amps continuous, and a normal gearbox draws well under that. A high-speed build with a heavy spring is where a higher C rating starts to matter.

What does 3S mean?
Three lithium cells in series, which is where 11.1v comes from. Each cell is nominally 3.7v. It also matters for charging, because the charger balances all three individually.

How long will it last in a game?
That depends entirely on your rate of fire and how much you shoot, so any figure we gave you would be invented. Most players carry two packs rather than try to make one last a full day.
