The Recon is the woodland-leaning rifle in the Pioneer range. The 10" handguard with its 20mm flat-top, 5-slot side rails on each side, and a 9-slot lower rail gives plenty of mounting real estate without committing to a full quad. Reach is the trade-off: at 788mm you've got more rifle than CQB players want, but enough reach that mid-distance engagements feel natural.
The V2 gearbox is the same Gen2 platform that runs through the rest of the Pioneer range — 18:1 steel gears, 8mm bearings, M90 quick-change spring, and a long-shaft high-torque motor. Where the Recon distinguishes itself is barrel length: the extra inner barrel gives a small but measurable bump in muzzle stability over the shorter Jackal and SOPMOD, particularly with heavier BBs.
Sling-wise it's set up for single-point QD off the stock — woodland players who run two-point slings will need to add a forward attachment, which the handguard's side rails accommodate easily. The supplied 120R mid-cap keeps you mid-cap-compliant for any UK site that enforces it, and the M4/AR-15 magwell takes anything from a real-cap to an electric drum.
