The Ranger is the CQB rifle in the Vanguard range. Short outer barrel, short handguard, mock suppressor on the front — it keeps the overall profile compact while extending the visual length. The suppressor itself doesn't affect performance, but it does give you somewhere to mount a tracer unit later without having to add a separate adapter to a bare flash hider.
What makes the Ranger interesting is the combination of CQB form factor and the programmable Vortex ETU. Indoor CQB sites often run strict ROE — semi-only inside buildings, full-auto allowed in courtyards or transition zones. Switching modes from the fire selector rather than swapping rifles means one gun handles both situations. Binary trigger mode (where the rifle cycles on both pull and release) is a deeper feature most players won't use but is there if you want it.
Internals match the wider Vanguard family: reinforced V2 gearbox, 18:1 steel gears, 8mm ball bearings, M90 quick-change spring, Deans wired, rotary hop with 50° rubber. The compact handguard limits how much you can mount up front, which suits a CQB rifle — the shorter the gun, the less you want to add length to it with accessories.
