That is the whole idea behind 2.ZERO. Nuprol describe it as giving players total control over internal lubrication: the propellant does the propelling, and you apply grease to the seals you want greased, at the interval you choose.

Pressure-wise nothing changes. It sits in the same balanced, all-weather band as standard 2.0, so the way your gun cycles should feel no different — only what the gas leaves behind does.

Is this just 2.0 in a different can? No. The pressure band is the same; the silicone is not there. If you want the gas to lubricate as it fills, standard 2.0 is the one you want.

What do I need to do differently? Lubricate the seals yourself. Nuprol's own advice is targeted maintenance rather than a blanket film — a little silicone grease on mag and gun seals, on whatever schedule suits how much you shoot.

Why would I want silicone-free? Usually because oil is going somewhere you would rather it did not, or because you already maintain the gun properly and would rather choose the lubricant than have one chosen for you.

Can I switch back and forth? Yes. They are both green gas. Nothing stops you running ZERO through the season and a silicone fill now and then.
